As a young girl growing up in the countryside of Connecticut, Cathy Howard had very big hopes and dreams. She also adored the celebrity dog Lassie and spent most of her childhood years mesmerized by Lassie’s television shows and movies. Cathy dreamed that one day she would meet her beloved canine star. Through a series of incredible twists of fate, not only did Cathy finally meet Lassie, she became a close friend of the family who owned the magnificent collie star. They gave Cathy a treasured gift from Lassie; a beautiful Lassie puppy named “Lassie’s Silver Star Gina”.
Today, Cathy is co-owner of Colliewoode Productions that produces Lassie’s website and promotes Lassie appearances. Cathy and Gina have appeared together on Florida stages where their “Dreams DO Come True” show was widely accepted. They appeared on HGTV’s Ultimate Collectors, BBC News Network, London’s SKY TV, and co-star in the soon to be released Hollywood documentary “The Secret Life of a Super Fan”. Cathy also filmed and produced the video “Adopt a Collie” that stars Gina. Cathy and Gina live in Southern California with their other half, Stephen, and Tina, a rescue collie. Cathy and Gina are a Pet Therapy team at a local care facility where they bring joy and comfort to patients and their families. Cathy continues to send her message out to people of all ages:
